1. What are the hours? Are there full day
programs?
Infant/Toddler/Preschool – Mon.-Thurs. 9:00-1:50, Fri. - 9:00-12:00
Kindergarten - Mon. – Thurs. 9:00 - 1:50; Fri. 9:00 - 11:50
Elementary-M-F 8:00-3:00
2. At what age can children start to attend?
Start in program if child is 6 months by September 1st.
3. How many days can child attend - per
age level?
Infant/Toddler - 1 or 2 days a week
2 ½ & 3 year old preschool - 2 or 3 days a week
4 year old preschool – 3 or 5 days a week
Kindergarten & Elementary - 5 days a week
4. What is the ratio of students to
teacher?
Infant/Toddler - 6-12 months...3:1, 13-18 months...5:1, 19-24
months...6:1, 25-30 months...7:1
Preschool - 2 ½s...7:1, 3s...10:1, 4s...14:1
Kindergarten - 14:1
Primer 10:1
Elementary - 14:1
5. In addition to the regular curriculum,
what other enrichment activities are offered?
Infant/Toddler - Music and or Physical Education
Preschool - Music/Physical Education/Chapel/Library
Kindergarten - Music/Physical Education/Spanish/Chapel/Library
Primer and Elementary - Music/Physical Education/Spanish/Computer/Science
Lab/Chapel/Library/Art
6. What readiness skills are taught?
Alphabet, numbers, shapes, directional concept, name recognition,
phonics.
7. What is your registration process?
There is a selection
committee. Applications due by February 11 if new families to the program.
8. What are the qualifications (ex. training, CPR,
degreed) of the staff?
Preschool/Kindergarten/Elementary teachers are degreed.
All school staff has ongoing training each year-15 hours.
All school staff has current CPR & First Aid training.
9. Does my child have to be toilet
trained?
All Preschool children must be toilet trained.
10. Who provides snacks/lunch for the
children?
School and parents provide snacks; parents provide lunches for lower
school children. Elementary students are provided with a hot lunch option.
11. Is there religious education in the
classroom?
Christian environment, prayers said before snacks & meals
Chapel once a month for Preschool & Kindergarten children and once a
week for Primer & Elementary children. Elementary students participate
in a daily morning devotional.
12. Are computers in the classroom?
Some Preschool classes, All Kindergarten & Elementary classes
