The school has been asked to help raise 4 million dollars to help fund the renovation of Oxford and Epworth halls that currently house the church offices, infant/toddler classrooms, school offices and some classrooms. We are seeking several large donations to help us get underway and are hopeful for 100% participation from school families. Gifts can be given outright or can be pledged to be paid over 3 years. Naming opportunities are available for large gifts. These “naming” plaques are subject to review by the Church Board of Trustees. General GiftsMembers of our church have committed one million dollars in undesignated gifts to be given for the purpose of renovating Oxford and Epworth Halls, including the relocation of our staff enabling the space to be for children and family use. Many of our Weekday School parents will be participating in the spring fund-raising event for the purpose of raising a million dollars over the next four to five years for the creation of our new children’s buildings. In addition, we are needing a lead gift and sizable designated gifts to reach our goal of 4.8–5 million dollars. The good news is that with our church and Weekday School commitments, in addition to several sizable gifts, we are approaching the half-way point. Designated GiftsThe Growing UP capital mission presents naming opportunities giving tribute to persons through designated gifts. Rooms may be designated in honor or memory of a loved one and displayed on a handsome wall plaque at the entrance of the room. The Endowment, Nursery and Administrative Offices could be named for the honoree i.e. The Susan & Sammy Smith Children’s Building Fund, the Jan & John Jones Administrative Offices. All naming of space is subject to Lovers Lane United Methodist Church Board of Trustees approval.
